Our Story

Serving Odessa and Surrounding Communities since 2010, our mission at Lakeside Animal Hospital is to help your pets live happier, healthier lives by providing exceptional quality medical and surgical care in a compassionate environment. 

What began as a vision for modern, state-of-the-art veterinary care has grown into a full-service veterinary hospital, boarding facility, and doggie day camp, serving Odessa and surrounding areas. 

Throughout our growth, we’ve remained committed to ensuring pets and their families receive individual attention and customized treatment plans in a comfortable, caring environment.

Our entire staff is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care for your pet in a stress-free environment.

Dr. Colleen Elligott

Veterinarian

Dr. Colleen Elligott earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University and brings extensive experience in both emergency and general practice. She completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Florida Veterinary Specialists, followed by additional training in ophthalmology. Her background also includes working alongside a boarded dermatologist, further strengthening her ability to manage complex skin conditions.

Dr. Elligott has a strong interest in preventive care, internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, and behavior medicine. She is Fear Free certified and is dedicated to creating a low-stress, comfortable experience for her patients while providing thoughtful, individualized care. She is also committed to ongoing education and staying current with advancements in veterinary medicine.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Elligott enjoys staying active through running, yoga, and outdoor activities. She shares her home with her son and several pets, including cats and dogs.
